You don’t need much. Just a few fun tools and a sense of play:
- Water-based markers (like Crayola) and a soft brush + water
- Watercolors (or any water-based paint) and a dropper or pipette
- Soft pastels (or swap with oil pastels, crayons, or even markers)
- Watercolor paper or any paper that can handle a little moisture
- Scissors, glue and/or glue stick, and a few words (hand-written or from an old magazine or scrap paper for collage)
- A good cup of coffee, tea, or juice box—because art is better with a sip of something you love
Real people. Real art. Real smiles.

Hi, I’m Mary—artist, mentor, and the creator of The Creative Collective, a thriving online community where making art is joyful, freeing, and totally doable (yes—even in pajamas with coffee in hand). Whether you’re a seasoned painter or a creative soul who hasn’t picked up a brush in years, you are welcome here.
This summer, I’m inviting you to something special:
Art Camp for Grown-Ups—a 5-day guided experience on Zoom where we’ll play, experiment, and reconnect with that spark that makes art feel like magic.
Each day, I’ll guide you through a fresh challenge inspired by favorites from my Creative Collective. We’ll explore color, abstraction, playful techniques, and the kind of creativity that doesn’t care if it gets messy. (In fact, mess is encouraged.)
There’s no critique, no pressure, and no art store haul required. Just bring what you’ve got, show up as you are, and give yourself the gift of time to create.
I believe everyone deserves to feel the joy of making art again—of loosening up, trying new things, and discovering that your unique artistic voice is still right there, ready to play.
So grab your favorite mug, slip into something cozy, and join us. Let’s make the end of this summer wildly creative.
