Pastel Art Session | Sept. 11 - Oct. 16, 2025
Autumn Bliss: Falling Light, Rising Joy
A 6-week pastel class with Mary Telfer
Step into the season with soft color, creative flow, and community connection.

In this 6-week pastel session, we’ll work from a shared bunch of beautiful photo references - curated for light, texture, mood, and seasonal inspiration.
Each week, you’ll be invited to explore a fresh theme like glowing skies, quiet joy, or cozy interiors. Paint alongside me or take your own creative path - we’ll come together once a week on Tuesdays for feedback, painting time, and conversation.

Whether you’re chasing autumn light, layering texture, or letting your pastels wander, this class offers the structure to stay inspired and the freedom to be yourself.

Suggested supplies to have on hand:
  • Some type of pastel paper about 11" x 14". I absolutely LOVE PastelMat. You can buy it in single sheets or pads.
  • Soft pastels and hard pastels. I use and recommend Unison hand-rolled soft pastels and Prismacolor (hard) pastels.
  • A surface (table, board, or easel) to work on.
  • Either the image I email you to work from or one of your own.
  • A smooth non-textured rag (I use a soft t-shirt cut up to about 4” x 6”) and/or pastel blending sticks, tortillons.
  • A good cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa to savor as you create.
