Here's what you get!
- Weekly Art Challenges: Engage in diverse and thought-provoking art challenges designed to inspire creativity, self-expression, and personal growth. Each challenge will include weekly prompts centered around themes that explore the intersection of art and life, encouraging reflection and exploration.
For Example: 1. The Beauty of Imperfection: Embrace the concept of wabi-sabi—the Japanese aesthetic philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and the natural cycle of growth and decay. How can you incorporate elements of imperfection, asymmetry, and raw authenticity into your artwork?
For Example: 2. Embracing Change: Explore the theme of change and transformation through your artwork. How do you adapt to new circumstances or challenges in your life, and how can this be represented visually? - Access to Exclusive Community: Become part of a private Facebook group & supportive online community of artists from around the world, where you can connect, collaborate, and share your creative journey.
- Diverse Art Media: Explore a variety of art mediums and techniques, from drawing and painting to photography, digital art, and more. Don’t worry – if you want to stick with your favorite media, no problem!
- Life Lessons through Art: Gain valuable insights and life lessons through the creative process, learning how to apply artistic principles to navigate challenges, cultivate resilience, and foster personal growth.
- Once a month “Open Studio”: The first Thursday of the month at 10am CT I will be live on Zoom to answer questions or simply hang out and drink coffee or tea. Think of it as a virtual “having coffee with artist friends” time. And if you can’t make it at that time, each month, I’ll post a link to a recording afterwards.
- Artist of the Week Showcase: Once a week I’ll recognize an artist who is great at participation in the group and showcase your artwork and post your art as the banner in the group the following week.

Hi! I'm Mary. I’m an artist and art coach with an MFA and 20+ years of teaching experience.
My specialty is helping people who have set aside their childhood dreams for adult realities and want to try making art again to become amazing artists.
Don't take it from me, take it from these artists who have worked with me! I create online communities where people can bring back the part of themselves that they have tamped down and pursue the dreams they forgot they had.
I've curated and juried a number of exhibitions throughout the Midwestern United States, including Women's Works, Art Fair at the Dole, The Sage Gallery, Wausau Festival of Arts, NISRA, and in my studio.
I have an extensive exhibition history throughout the United States. In 2017 I won the international exhibit Women's Works Artistic Merit award.

Listen to what Melissa has to say in this 2-minute video.
“A safe space to learn, grow, and share artistically with a diverse group, where we respect, support and celebrate each other.” - Melissa
Here's what Lorraine had to say in this one minute video.
"Mary's challenges are not only clear and inspiring, but a healing journey of self-discovery.
The live Zoom sessions are so relaxing and supportive I am comfortable sharing even when I am not feeling great about my work.
Mary and the other artists are kind and give constructive ideas to follow through, encouraging me to continue and complete the artwork.
Thank you Mary!"
