Nonhuman Animal Portraits
This 4-week session we will be focusing on painting nonhuman animals with pastels.
Nonhuman animal portraits or even full-body portraits can be a challenge. As in any portrait, you want to get the expression of that individual. Because this is a pastel painting class, I do recommend you draw your sketch out before we do our first Zoom class, on September 7th. When you sign up (by clicking the button above) I will send you the photo we will be working from, but you are also welcome to draw the individual nonhuman of your choice! Email me with any questions at all: email@example.com.

“At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source. When you are an artist, you are a healer; a wordless trust of the same mystery is the foundation of your work and its integrity.”
~ Rachel Naomi Remen, MD
Unwind, live in the moment, and have fun by painting with pastels. Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and make art following along with the lesson/photo of the day, work from your own photo, or simply watch and paint later! The camaraderie of this online class offers a unique opportunity to bring your art to a higher level by brainstorming with each other.
Scientific studies have shown there is a connection between making art and reducing stress in your mind and body. Making art doesn't only make you feel better, it also creates tangible, physical changes in your body and brain.
